They make Rochester seem larger-than-life, a giant! I watched the clip twice, and both times I almost mistaked Mesrour for a dog with Rochester in the foreground. As for Jane, the scene makes her decidedly short, which works of course. I always think less of actors when they say they haven't read the book. It's almost as if they're not committed enough. <BR/><BR/>One of the reasons I'm so excited to see what Toby does with the role is because of his intelligence, I feel he will bring out a lot more in the character because of this. He was trained up at the RSC and can handle and understand complex issues; in his interviews on the Hamlet site he interprets and communicates very well the themes and ideas behind the play.
