Much, much too bright. And when I saw him on his horse at the end, the red color combined with that poodle hair made me cringe.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14259201.post-1160006516116785382006-10-04T20:01:00.000-04:002006-10-04T20:01:00.000-04:00to kayxyz:The problem there is that Bertha might h...to kayxyz:<BR/><BR/>The problem there is that Bertha might have died of the dampness there- I guess. I think it might be an exclusively Canadian childhood phenomenon but I cannot be sure. There's a children's show with a man and a woman hosting. During the second part of the show, one of them will make some excuse to leave and then this polkadot giraffe/kangaroo person comes to visit. When the polkaroo leaves the second host comes back and says something like 'oh, darn! Did I miss the polkaroo again?'<BR/><BR/>So, did you suspect that our Mr Rochester and Mr. Bear were one and the same? ;)Brontëanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12871588304265056120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14259201.post-1160001785567973652006-10-04T18:43:00.000-04:002006-10-04T18:43:00.000-04:00Blimey, you and Aunt Reed sick, at the same time, ...Blimey, you and Aunt Reed sick, at the same time, at the same blog. Methinks fiction is somewhat full of holes: if Rochester had had the goodness to keep Bertha Mason and Grace Poole at Ferndean long term, no one would have been the wiser. Imagine a crazy woman and Adela under the same roof. What was he thinking? There's a great and subtle likening of the three stages of sexuality to the three floors of Thornfield: first floor, everday interaction; second floor, romantic love; third floor, the danger and peril of unbridled passion. JE and ER have to pass through all three in order to integrate and become whole.Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09682370728838737028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14259201.post-1160001607653367672006-10-04T18:40:00.000-04:002006-10-04T18:40:00.000-04:00I'm glad to hear that you are on the mend.
