BBC Jane Eyre 1973 Available for Pre-Order
Thanks to Bronteana reader, Liz, we have confirmation that the DVD of the BBC's 1973 production of Jane Eyre with Sorcha Cusack and Michael Jayston will be available for pre-order from their online store as of next week!

I only hope that what they told me is true. One benefit is that this may well be the first time we see the cover.
In the past the BBC have been very reluctant to say anything about the release of this DVD until something was definate. We heard about it coming out before the BBC would admit to it. A company doing the work was negotiating with the BBC at the time, and while they would say it was a sure thing, the BBC constantly said no- until the deal was final. ;) So, my feeling is that it will be available to ordering next week.
Waiting for the cover is very exciting, but I want to know if there are any extras- any extra footage! And then which region the DVD will be. They only have the region 2 DVD of Tenant for sale right now... :-\
