She's back.
Charlotte Brontë-saurus. First seen here*, but now we have another sighting of this elusive creature. Apparently she now lives in Minnesota and has children in South Dakota. This is clearly not the same Charlotte Brontë-saurus, but you never know. I mean, she's out there somewhere (unless she has been microwaved into action-figure oblivion). A Brontëana reader reports a cartoon dinosaur named Emily, but in our professional opinion we believe we can discount the report as not being a valid sighting of the even more elusive Emily Brontë-saurus, since she is not a cartoon as far as we know.

Well, we do have finger puppets and even mugs and dolls but so far there's no Edward Rochester action figure. ...That idea is really too silly.

Oh no. Too late! I remember something now. I have a friend, an aspiring children's writer, who took up the 'repentence is not its cure. Reformation maybe. I could reform...' and you should be able to guess the rest. But it never got past an idle AIM conversation with myself! (And one other friend drew a picture of him having turned himself into a cast-iron stove)...

I once had thought of writing in Latin on a message board for my second favourite actor to play Mr Rochester (Anthony Crivello). One of his relatives had been on it saying Latin was dead, and of course I take exception to that! ;) So, I wanted to mention why I admire him, so I had to translate 'Edward Rochester' into Latin. I didn't know which declension 'Edward' was- it is fourth. Meaning one of the forms is: Eduardibus! ;) The same friend mentioned above did some amusing things with that.
I drew a picture of Jane asking him to be her stove. ;) Mr Rochester looks VERY confused (as he sits on her lap). the stove thing came about from a typo. I meant to say 'stroke Mr Rochester' but I typed 'stoke' instead.
